A. Shirley's mind map (QIU Xueni)
Explanations:
“ICT Implementation” is used as the center of the mindmap and connects other four words (“ICT”, “Education”, “Leadership”, and “management”) because these four words are involved in the process of ICT implementation.
“ICT” includes “Technology”, “Infrastructure”, and “Technician”. The “Infrastructure” is a collective word, covering software, hardware and network. The “Technician” is an important word for “ICT” because the ICT infrastructure should be installed and maintained by the technicians. Skilled technicians are indispensable in the high level of knowledge ladder.
“Education” involves “schools”, “teachers”, “students”, “pedagogy”, “curriculum”, “environment” and “goals”. Here, the word “goals” is included as the educational goal is an important aspect of ICT plan.
“Leadership” is illustrated by the nine words. Leadership involves “agency” and the activity of making “strategy/plan” and “policy”. “Politics”, “economy”, and “society” are factors that make great influence on ICT plan formulation involving the leadership. “Leadership” should help to build and maintain the “capacity”, promote the “innovation”, and advance the “professional development” for ICT implementation.
“Management” is responsible for the implementing processes of ICT plan. “Monitoring & evaluation” process is an integral part in the ICT policy implementation process because it provides public accountability of policy implementation and reflects on the quality of the expected outcomes and therefore identify the needs and necessary adjustments of the policy. “Sustainability” and “scalability” are two important issues for ICT policy implementation and improvement. When formulating and implementing the ICT plan, it is necessary to manage the “resources”, such as time, money, equipment and human resources, and the “partnership” who brings technological resources, expertise, and help, such as the high tech companies.
Actually, this is a draft that exceeds 25 keywords. It should be revised for our group's mindmap.

B. Deborah Wang's mind map
Explanations:
The reason why I put ICT in the center of this mind map is not because the ICT is the core element but because I think the ICT can be a bridge to combine the other key concepts. With the help of ICT implementation (bridge), three concepts that management, leadership and education can work together and have a close relationship.
For ICT part, in this mind map, I did not list its sub-elements. I want to focus on other important concepts first. Then in other session, I will add many more sub-elements that belong to ICT. “ICT” includes “Infrastructure”, “Innovation”, “Support” and “Hardware and Software”. There is no doubt that infrastructure to ICT is very important as a base elements for which many countries make building suitable infrastructure as the first policies. Actually, the hardware and software should be included in the concept infrastructure. However, I list them out because I think these two concepts are very important. Besides, ICT need a lot of support from the ICT coordinator and technician. Furthermore, there are so many innovation in the ICT implementation.
“Education” involves “teaching” and “learning”, which are the basic function of education. This part will be filled with more elements after session studying.
“Leadership” is illustrated by two concepts, which are innovation and giving vision. As we know, Leader is the one who are responsible for giving vision and making change. To a company or school, vision is very important as a guideline. Leaders are making this decision. Besides, I also suggest that leaders monitor and make innovation come true. For innovation implementation, the position of leader is crucial.
I am very familiar with the concept management for my previous degree was Business Administration. What I have learnt told me that “Management” play a role of managing the whole system and assess the feedback provided by the current situation. Besides, the managers have a very control responsibility, which includes “Time”, “Human Resource”, “Quality” and “Finance”. They should make sure these 4 elements are going well.
Above explanations is my understanding of my mind map. The above mind map would be a reference for our group's mind map. Also, I will revise my mind map after session studying.

C. Liliana Farias's mind map
Explanations:
I decided to elaborate this mind map:
•Analyze from particular to general
•So I started with Leadership, ICT, Learning as main components.
•Management is part of each component (each one has implicit management)
•The principal point I liked the conjunction of words.
ICT
•When I worked in this component I thought in infrastructure and the services that an Software consultant company could offer to implement ICT in a school.
•Additionally I considered important ICT policies, because if is none ICT development within a community or country, it would be difficult to implement a project in this sector
Leadership
•To analyze this component I considered the organizations or leader that push others to move and to follow them. Those actors whose has the power that things happen.
•From policy makers to team members (collaborative leadership)
•Change, it is important factor because leaders allow or stop the change.
Learning
•Learning is the education’s outcome
•To analyze this component I thought in inside and outside schools.
•Inside: school’s staff, students, principal, pedagogy, curriculum, etc.
•Outside: the different actors that impact the educational system and within a school.

Mindmap
Mindmap with detailed elements
Explanations & Comments:
“ICT Implementation” is used as the center of the mindmap and connects other four words (“ICT”, “Education”, “Leadership”, and “management”) because these four words are involved in the process of ICT implementation.
Here, we would make a detailed explanation for the expanded version of our mindmap.
“ICT” includes “Technology” and “Infrastructure”. And “innovative technology” is an important issue of “technology”. The “infrastructure” is a collective word, covering “software”, “hardware”, “network” and “technician”. “Technician” is included in the “infrastructure” because the ICT infrastructure should be installed and maintained by the technicians. Skilled technicians are indispensable in the high level of knowledge ladder.
Two components that are “new technologies” and “infrastructure” are released. Infrastructure has elements that form an important part during the implementation process of ICT and which are in constant contact with other actors such as Education, Leadership, and Management. Once ICT appears on these actors, their relations become interdependent. Where Infrastructure has to be adapted according to their needs, to facilitate their daily activities.
It is a permanent interdependence, because one actor responds according to the actions of others, and so on. If the leaders have the power to promote ICT within Education, the Leadership would assign certain resources to develop infrastructure for the improvement or implementation of CIT.
“Education” involves “schools”, “teachers”, “students”, “pedagogy”, “curriculum”, and “environment”. These are all basic elements of education related issues.
“Leadership” is illustrated by the six words. “Leadership” should help to promote the “innovation”. All people involved in the ICT formulation and implementation process are concluded as “stakeholders” which should be organized by leadership. “Politics”, “economy”, and “society” are factors that make great influence on ICT plan formulation involving the leadership. They are merged into one word “external environment”. Leadership involves the activity of making “strategy/plan” and “policy” and building up its “vision”.
Seven components were established, which need ICT and foment the development of this actor. To do so, “innovation” it is an important factor, because without this one the leaders would not be any more competitive; to obtain innovation also it is necessary to have ICT tools to educate future leaders or to ease the work of leaders.
“Stakeholders” are conformed by all the international, national and local actors that push leaders to implement the development of ICT within Education. “Stakeholders” also use innovative technologies which are used to enhance resources and to have an appropriate management.
According to external environment we refer to the social and economic factors, whose needs of evolution and grown are considered to adapt the implementation of ICT within an environment.
“Policy” components we considered important because are the result and the motivation of Leadership to develop certain factors. For example without an “ICT policy” would be very hard to develop strategies for grow the economy of a place. If leadership wants to implement a policy is in charge to identify the strategically characteristics of the process.
“Strategy” and “vision” also are components that are interconnected, both provide a guide for the management when implementing n ICT within an Education or Learning environment.
“Management” is responsible for the implementing processes of ICT plan. “Monitoring & evaluation & control” process is an integral part in the ICT policy implementation process because it provides public accountability of policy implementation and reflects on the quality of the expected outcomes and therefore identify the needs and necessary adjustments of the policy. When formulating and implementing the ICT plan, it is necessary to manage the “partnership” who brings technological resources, expertise, and help, such as the high tech companies, and the “resources”, such as time, money, equipment and human resources.
Management it is an actor that is in charge to administrate the resources according the requirements of the leaders. It is composed by six principal components which need the infrastructure of ICT and the expectations or vision from the Leadership. They follow instructions and good results or goal achievements are expected from them, additionally the desire of growing within different areas (Professional development). Productivity, effective and proactive tactics are an important task for each component.
Actually, this is the second version of our group’s mindmap. It should be improved in later sessions.
